CCRRF Wine Rail Excursions

Monthly Excursions Feature Amazing Train Ride on the Cuesta Grade, Visits to Rail Related Wineries, and More! Santa Barbara Trips added for 2013!

Central Coast Railroad Festival Wine Rail Excursions are offered the second Sunday of every month. Extra Excursions are added when needed and private Excursions are available for groups. The trips include a ride on Amtrak's Coast Starlight up or down the Cuesta Grade between Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo, complimentary wine tasting, light lunch snacks, rail history and a private Ride-On Transportation bus trip in the opposite direction from the rail trip. The trips generally stop at one or two rail related wineries. Tickets for most trips are $59 for adults and $39 for children 15 and under. Excursions are limited to 24 friendly guests and generally sell out in advance.




Santa Barbara Day Trip Excursions have been added in 2013. Trip feature a round trip on the Pacific Surfliner starting in San Luis Obispo, Grover Beach & Guadalupe. Visit the Reagan Ranch Center and enjoy shopping, complimentary wine tasting and more.

CCRRF Wine Rail Excursion Gift Tickets are now available online. Buy tickets online for future Excursions. Recipients can select their own trip date.

Current list of Excursions:

• Friday, May 17th: SOLD OUT. CCRRF Excursion to Pomar Junction's famous Train Wreck Party. Trip includes a ride on Amtrak's Coast Starlight between SLO and Paso Robles, a private Ride-On bus trip to Pomar Junction and return to SLO. Enjoy the romantic & sultry Spanish guitar music of Incendio and the sunset over the vineyard.
• Wednesday, May 29th: Special Santa Barbara Excursion includes a Round Trip on Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner between SLO (also Grover & Guadalupe) and Santa Barbara, private tour of the Reagan Ranch Center, shopping & complimentary wine tasting.
• Sunday, June 9th: Second Sunday Wine Rail Excursion: starts in Paso Robles and includes complimentary wine tasting at Pomar Junction, light lunch, rail history, and a ride on Amtrak's Coast Starlight between SLO and Paso Robles
• Friday, July 19th & Friday, August 16th: CCRRF Excursions to Pomar Junction's famous Train Wreck Party. Trip includes a ride on Amtrak's Coast Starlight between SLO and Paso Robles, a private Ride-On bus trip to Pomar Junction and return to SLO. Enjoy great bands and the sunset over the vineyard.
