David Holt, Nationally Known Folk Musician and Storyteller Booked for 2013 Central Coast Railroad Festival!

David will perform children's shows as well as music and storytelling shows on October 11th and 12th.

David Holt is a four-time Grammy Award winner and exciting performer on stage, radio and television. North Carolina audiences know him from his popular long-running PBS FOLKWAYS series. David is recognized as one of the nation's foremost folk musicians and storytellers. For 35 years he has been collecting and performing the music of the old time Southern mountaineers. His passion for traditional music and culture has fueled a successful performing and recording career. David has also hosted shows on NPR and toured with Doc Watson for several years in the recent past. David recorded a CD of railroad songs in 2012 entitled "When the Train Comes Along" and currently hosts the PBS show entitled Great Scenic Railroad Journeys.
